Question 1: Will you tell me a little story about yourself — about the life-events, life choices, and/or people that brought you to this place and time?
A: At 18, I made a rash decision to join the military. I was immediately sent overseas to serve in the Middle East following basic training and schooling. During my two years overseas, I accomplished more than I ever thought possible. The best part was that I met the love of my life! Miraculously, we both got orders to Maryland; however I had to spend months alone overseas before getting to come to Maryland. It was honestly the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but my family and friends were so supportive. (Especially my amazing Momma!) And now here I am in Maryland with my sweet love, a beautiful home, a kitty and dog, and CrossFit!
Question 2: If you were out with a group of your best friends — the people closest to you — how would they describe you?
A: If I was out with a group of my best friends they would describe me as a go-getter and an extreme goof.
Question 3: [CrossFit] Why are you excited about CrossFit? What does CrossFit mean to you?
A: During my time spent alone in the Middle East, a good friend introduced me to CrossFit. It made me feel strong both mentally and physically and was honestly the thing that got me through some extreme rough patches. I am so excited I get to continue CrossFit while stationed in Maryland!
Question 4: Please feel free to add anything else that you would like people to know about you. One of my favorite questions is, what one thing do people generally *not* know about you, or would be surprised to know about you.
A: I am from Utah and there is absolutely no place I would rather be!
I am an extreme germaphobe…
Lastly, I am a dessert freak! I basically have to have some type of dessert every night whether it is ice cream, cookies, brownies, etc.
Bonus Question: If you could have one super power, what would it be?
A: Read minds for sure!
