Question 1: Will you tell me a little story about yourself — about the life-events, life choices, and/or people that brought you to this place and time?
Story about myself… In order to fully understand me but also not spending to much time on the subject… A little over a year ago I changed my life 100%. I left a negative relationship which in turn I had to make certain choices. I moved, said goodbye to my dog, threw most of my belongings away, walked away with nothing. I mean absolutely nothing.I started 100% over, after ten years. I quit CrossFit, feel into depression and just hid from the world. Now I found this remarkable man, William my boyfriend, or as we call each other our Forever. He is the best thing that has ever happen to me and each other. Now, I am so in love with my life, our lives. I am glad I am back to my old self. I carry a little hurt sometimes but when I start to get into a funk It’s always when I have not worked out on consistent basics. CrossFit has brought me so much happiness, It’s not even a choice, I have to workout. I feel better, and it just makes me glow. I am still trying to get back to it, back in the day I was at 5 days a week plus other fitness classes at Golds. Right now I am not doing so good at getting to class but I know Andrea will keep sending me emails to get my butt to class π My life focus right now is saving money so William and I can buy our first home together and focus on our personal goals π
Question 2: [Your Background] If you were out with a group of your best friends — the people closest to you — how would they describe you?
I am the most compassionate person they know. I will always give a helping hand and help anyone in need. I am hyperactive, sarcastic, but also very loving. I love impacting others lives and always look for the good in others. Life is to be enjoyed and I ensure I do so.On the flip side though my feelings do get hurt more than others, I need to have thicker skin, but it just isn’t going to happen.
Question 3: [CrossFit] Why are you excited about CrossFit? What does CrossFit mean to you?
CrossFit means everything to me. It means having a balanced life. Working out isn’t supposed to be a negative, it’s a positive, I love working out, and love how CrossFit always is changing, never the same workout. I makes me feel like a super hero. CrossFit along with eating healthy may be the fountain of youth. I look amazing for about to turn 32 in April. I used to workout enough for the past ten years but after taking my first CrossFit class in 2014 that’s when the pause button hit my age. Forever 28 π
Question 4: [Optional – Everything Else] Please feel free to add anything else that you would like people to know about you. One of my favorite questions is, what one thing do people generally *not* know about you, or would be surprised to know about you.
I love to travel, I want to see the entire world and live every minute of it, tomorrow isn’t a promise! I love Unicorns, Rainbows, Glitter, Animals, Sour Beer, Swing Dancing/Lindy Hop and Lisa Frank! I love taking pictures, tracking my fitbit goals, naps, and roller coasters. I am an adrenaline junkie in a sense. I did end up getting rid of my motorcycle but I look for other fun and fast adventures that are a bit more safer! I love doing handstands on things out in the world, it’s funny and I am a child. Also most people/grown ups can’t do them, so it’s funny to me. My ideal night is to come home from work, William and I to walk down to the park chatting about our days, then watching Shameless while eating dinner. I would love to write a book but that may be farther down on my goal sheet. Right now I just write Will poems because I am sappy and I like to express myself through paper.
Bonus Question: If you could have one super power, what would it be?
It would be to read peoples minds. I am very guarded, I may not seem so, but I have a wall up until it comes down, if I could read others minds I may see they are really sweet on the inside, or maybe they are crazy. Hahaha
