Q: Will you tell me a little story about yourself — about the life-events, life choices, and/or people that brought you to this place and time?

A: My dad was in the Navy when I was younger, but he separated when was six years old so I didn’t really grow up as a Navy brat. He told my brother and myself these really fun stories from his time in the Navy and I always thought, “Wow, that’s cool! I want to do that too!” Fast forward to my first few years in college; I was having fun making new friends and having the typical college experience, but I wasn’t taking my schoolwork seriously. So after completing two years at a university, I joined the Navy! My first duty station was in Washington state; it was beautiful and I had the opportunity to travel to a few other countries. But here I am now! Maryland is definitely growing on me!

Q: If you were out with a group of your best friends — the people closest to you — how would they describe you?

A: Hands down, I’m the funny one. Next question!

Q: Why are you excited about CrossFit? What does CrossFit mean to you?

A: CrossFit keeps things fun! I was a cheerleader in high school, gained the Freshman 15, tried new fitness routines from dance to Muay Thai, gained weight again after joining the Navy, and even losing 30 pounds on deployment. My fitness journey has been interesting! I wanted to start CrossFit because I hit another plateau with my fitness. I’m so glad I decided to check it out because I’m enjoying all of it! I love that the workouts are always different and that it gets me into a competitive spirit!

Q: Please feel free to add anything else that you would like people to know about you. One of my favorite questions is, what one thing do people generally *not* know about you, or would be surprised to know about you.

A: Even though I can be bubbly and cracking jokes, people would be surprised to find out that I’m actually shy and an introvert. According to the Myers-Briggs test, I’m an ISFP!

Q: If You Could Bring One Musician Back From The Dead, Who Would It Be And Why?

A: If I could bring one musician back from the dead, I would bring back Selena! Don’t @ me. From her music, her style, and to her relatable personality, she was and still is an icon to many! Especially being from Texas, we love Beyonce, but Selena is our original queen!
