My life has been influenced by 4 generations of Washington DC public servants. I come from a long line of DC police officers or firefighters. I’m currently a lieutenant with DC police and my family working in the city goes back to the early 1900’s. Being a cop is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’ve been with the force for 10 years and unfortunately got on the coffee and donuts diet. Now all I want to do is get in shape and cut out the donuts. I’ll still drink the coffee though. 14-hour days demand it.

I think the people closest to me would describe me as a rule follower. I can be a bit of a square at times. I don’t go over the speed limit and I don’t sneak food into the movie theater. Rules are meant to be followed. It drives my wife and friends crazy.

I’m excited about CrossFit because its different than anything I’ve done before. The workouts are always different, but the intensity is the same. It’s also nice to not have to think about my workout. I just show up and do what i’m told.

One thing most people don’t know about me is that i’m a little OCD. I’m very particular about how the dishwasher is loaded, about how clothes are folded, and how everything is positioned on my desk at work.

Bonus Question: If You Could Have Dinner With Any One Person, Living Or Dead, Who Would They Be And Why?

I would like to have dinner with Chris Farley. Tommy Boy was one of my favorite movies growing up and I love watching his old Skits on SNL. I always think about all the great comedies we never got to see because he left this world too soon.
